In Novosibirsk Region, investigation into man accused of abusing and insulting public officers finished

The West-Siberian Transport Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia has finished the criminal investigation into the Omsk citizen accused of abusing and insulting police officers at the Tolmachevo airport of Novosibirsk Region (Part 1 of Article 318, Article 319 of the Criminal Code of Russia). The investigation was launched upon request of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

According to the investigation, on October 23, 2019, at about 6 AM, the captain of the aircraft flying from Novosibirsk to Phuket denied the perpetrator his flight because the latter had been inebriated and behaved poorly. To secure the public order, police officers were invited to the gangway of the plane, who demanded that the accused go with them to the front office of the police station to draw up a report on an administrative offense. Aggrieved by the situation, the perpetrator used non-harmful violence against a police officer and publicly insulted the police officers after being taken to the police station in the presence of civilians.

At the moment, the criminal case with an indictment has been sent to the court to decide upon approving the indictment.
