In Sverdlovsk Region, a person accused of a murder of an underage girl subject to preventive detention

The Sverdlovsk Regional Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation continues investigation of a probe into murder of a 15-year-old girl The offence was committed on November 5, 2019 near a building in Mashinostroiteley Street in Yekaterinburg. The victim died of a knife wound received during the conflict within short time from the described incident.

A student of a local college was arrested under suspicion of committing of the offence by investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia in interaction with officers of the police criminal investigation and with active assistance of mass media and citizens. By this time the investigator has already pressed charges against the young man under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (murder). At a request of the investigation, he was subjected to preventive detention.

In order to prove evidence the accused was subject to testimony assessment at the scene. During the investigative action he added more details to the data provided by him during interrogation.

According to investigation, at the moment of committing of the offence the young man was under influence of alcohol and inflicted the knife wound that turned out to be fatal during a conflict that was based on spontaneous personal animosity towards the victim he hadn't been previously acquainted with.

At present investigators continue carrying out investigative actions required for investigation of this probe.
