Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requests information from a number of regions upon mass media reports
Today a federal TV channel broadcast problems of the town of Tulun (Irkutsk Region) citizens deprived of housing due to flood that occurred this summer. The funds from the state budget were allocated in time; however, despite the colds setting in, the local authorities still fail to provide housing fit for living. It was also reported that the people still have not received even the initial compensation of 10,000 rubles. According to journalists, many of the affected persons are under the risk of staying in wet houses for winter. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee instructed the Regional Investigations Directorate to report on the circumstances of the citizens’ rights violation.
Also, hosts of one of the programs reported a story of an eighth-grader who tried to commit suicide in Tula Region this spring. In the studio, the parents reported that the reason for the tragic act of the girl was harassment by teachers and classmates. During the show, the participants discussed the general atmosphere in the school and blamed certain teachers for incompetence. Moreover, the program criticized the decision of the Regional Investigations Directorate to terminate the probe into this matter. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee instructed employees of the Central Office to request all materials from the Tula Regional Investigations Directorate for examination and making further procedural decisions.

When they looked back they saw a girl in the water up to her chest, holding on to the ice edge, in approximately 15 meters from the shore of the pond, the depth of which reaches three meters. Risking his life, Dima reached out to help the drowning girl and saved her. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee instructed the management of the Regional Investigations Directorate to thoroughly analyze the circumstances of the accident involving the children.
