Alexey Veresov charged with public calls for violence

Investigative Committee of Russia continues investigation of probes into publishing on the Internet public calls for extremist activities and murder and health damage threats against a judge of the Moscow Municipal Court (Part 2 of Article 280, Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Russia).

Charges have been pressed against one of the detainees - previously convicted Alexey Veresov. He is accused of committing an offence under Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of Russia (public calls for extremist activities committed through electronic information and telecommunication networks including the Internet).

Veresov was escorted to the Investigative Committee from the Udmurt Republic. He has been interrogated; the perpetrator admitted his guilt during investigative actions. In the near future the investigator will motion the court to elect a preventive measure for him.

Investigation is carrying out measures aimed to prove evidence and timely investigate the probe.
