In Amur Region, probe launched into shooting in college

The Amur Regional Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation launched a probe into accident in Blagoveshchensk under Paragraphs A, I of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (murder of two persons committed maliciously).

According to the investigation, a 19-year-old student of Amur College of Construction and Public Utilities started shooting his hunting rifle in the College building. As a result, a 19-year-old young man died of gunshot wounds, three other young people aged 17, 19, 20 were injured and delivered to a hospital. After that, the perpetrator shot himself.

At present, investigators and forensic specialists are working on site; initial investigative actions and search activities aimed to establish all circumstances and motives of the committed offence are in progress.
