The Amur Regional Investigations Directorate has pressed charges against the Director General of the Sirius-A private security company under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia (rendering of works or services failing to comply with the safety requirements, entailing by negligence the death of two or more persons).

According to the investigation, the suspect engaged in the security activities at the Amur College of Construction and Public Utilities a person without a required license for security activities. As a result, on November 14, 2019, a 19-year-old student brought a hunting firearm to the educational institution and started shooting. One of his groupmates died of gunshot wounds, three other students were delivered to a hospital. The attacker committed suicide during his arrest.

The investigator has addressed the court with a motion to place the accused individual in custody. Investigative actions are being carried out in order to establish all the circumstances of the committed crime. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
