The Amur Regional Investigations Directorate continues probe into the Director General of the Sirius-A private security company charged with a crime provided for in Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia (rendering of works or services failing to comply with the safety requirements, entailing by negligence the death of two or more persons).

Upon the investigators' request the court selected a measure of restriction of detention in custody for the accused.

According to the investigation, the accused engaged in the security activities at the Amur College of Construction and Public Utilities a person without a required license for security activities. As a result, on November 14, 2019, a 19-year-old student brought a hunting firearm to the educational institution and started shooting. One of his group-mates died of gunshot wounds, three other students were delivered to a hospital. The attacker committed suicide during his arrest.

Investigative actions are being carried out in order to establish all the circumstances of the crime. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
