Moscow Academy of the Investigative Committee of Russia hosts a Russian-Bangladeshi scientific and practical seminar

Today the Moscow Academy of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation hosted a scientific and practical seminar on subject "Issues of combating corruption" with participation of a delegation of the Anti-Corruption Commission of the People's Republic of Bangladesh: Commissioners Mozammel Haque Khan and A.M.F. Aminul Islam, Executive Secretary Shamsul Arefin, Personal Assistant of the Chairman Mohammed Moniruzzaman, Trade Council of the Embassy Babul Ashfakul Islam.

Delegation of the People's Republic of Bangladesh arrived to Russia on its own initiative. Representatives of the Commission want to learn from the experience of the Investigative Committee of Russia in combating corruption offences, study tactics and methods of investigation and use of forensic equipment in investigation of crimes.

The seminar was also attended by direction and teachers of the Moscow Academy of the Investigative Committee of Russia and officers of the Directorate on International Cooperation of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

During the seminar Executive Rector of the Academy Anatoly Bagmet told about the Moscow Academy of the Investigative Committee of Russia, features of its educational process and academic disciplines on issues of combating corruption. The Head of the Institution highlighted that Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia derived a rigid approach to bringing to justice persons responsible for corruption offences and the Committee achieves concrete results in this area. Thus, from 2011 investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia have launched over 160,000 probes; over 70,000 probes have been referred to court.

During the meeting the delegation of the  Anti-Corruption Commission of the People's Republic of Bangladesh had a welcoming tour around the campus. Foreign guests visited study classes, forensic training sites and laboratory and got acquainted with the modern forensic equipment.

Upon the end of the seminar the Bangladeshi guests received certificates of participants of the forum.
