The working meeting between representatives of the agencies was organized in the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia within the framework of implementation of the Memorandum of understanding between the Investigative Committee of Russia and the Anti-Corruption Commission of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on mutual cooperation for combating corruption.

The Investigative Committee of Russia was represented by officers of the Main Investigations Directorate, Main Forensics Directorate (Forensic Centre), Human Resources Directorate and Directorate on International Cooperation.

During the discussion the Bangladeshi colleagues covered issues of activities of the Anti-Corruption Commission of the People's Republic of Bangladesh including competences of the designated state authority, procedure of detection and organization of investigation into corruption episodes and shared methods used for combating and prevention of such illegal actions that proved to be efficient.

In return, officers of the Investigative Committee of Russia acquainted the Bangladeshi party with practice of investigation into corruption offences by investigative units of the Investigative Committee of Russia, forensic surveillance of investigation of corruption offences, prevention of corruption and other offences in the Investigative Committee of Russia and other issues.

The parties noted relevance and importance of continuing cooperation in the area of combating corruption involving exchange of information on the best investigative practice, use of the newest in the area of forensics and in academic area.
