Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia meets with students of educational institutions of the Committee

In Moscow, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin has met with students of educational institutions of the Investigative Committee of Russia--orphan children and children left without parental care. The event was also attended by the management and students of the Moscow Academy of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Cadet Corps of the Investigative Committee of Russia, and officers of the Central Office of the Committee.

8th-grade student of the Degtyarsk General School of Sverdlovsk Region Dmitry Apresov was also invited to the event. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia awarded him with the Valor and Courage medal for the heroism he demonstrated in saving a drowning little girl in November 2019. The Chairman of the Committee thanked the student and said that at his young age he committed a manly deed which was an excellent example for others.

Alexander Bastrykin heartily congratulated the students and cadets on their admission to the educational institutions of the Investigative Committee. He drew the attention of the students to the fact that their diligence and hard work would become their reliable helpers in obtaining knowledge and professional development.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia noted the dynamic development of the educational system of the Committee and its commitment to the most important public goal--the social support of children in a challenging life situation. “I am convinced that education and upbringing in our educational institutions based on the best traditions of Russian officers will help children to find their place in the society and achieve personal fulfillment,” Alexander Bastrykin concluded. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia noted that it was important to use the potential of the students to help investigative officers, including the support in the form of common assistants: “You have to tangibly demonstrate that you are able to become investigators and your task is not just the formal processing of some case at a stage of the preliminary investigation but the actual help to people and concerned attitude to problems of citizens. Only then you will become real officers,” the Chairman of the Investigative Committee noted.

Apart from that, Acting Rector of the Moscow Academy of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bagmet and First Deputy Director of the Cadet Corps Igor Alexandrov delivered presentations on the organization of education in the educational institutions of the Committee. During the meeting, the participants also discussed the primary issues of providing the students with wherewithal to improve the efficiency of the educational process and their comfortable accommodation.

Alexander Bastrykin thanked the students for taking part in many patriotic, cultural, and sports events and encouraged them to remember to believe in humanism and fortitude, to not fear challenges, to be resolute in their actions, and to continue their service in the glorious traditions of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
