The Irkutsk Regional Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has launched a criminal investigation under Part 3 of Article 144 of the Criminal Code of Russia (obstruction of legitimate professional activities of a journalist).

According to the investigation, the camera crew of the “Vesti. Dezhurnaya Chast” TV program was filming in the Svetly settlement in Irkutsk District on November 21, 2019. At one point, two men began to physically obstruct the journalist’s activities.

All participants of the conflict will be interrogated by investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the nearest future. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
