A number of members of Sharapovskiye criminal group detained

Investigators of the Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia together with officers of the Federal Security Service of Russia and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs suppressed criminal activities of Sharapovskiye criminal group.

The Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia continues investigation of a probe into members of Sharapovskiye criminal group who committed a number of murders and other especially grave offences in 2007-2015.

From August to November 2019, four participants of the criminal group were detained in the Republic of Dagestan and Moscow, charged with the indicated offences and subjected to preventive detention.

During search activities, investigators and operative services discovered an arms cache. Grenades and other ammunition were seized. The explosive items were subsequently neutralized and destroyed.

Currently, investigators are carrying out a set of investigative activities and criminal intelligence and surveillance operations in order to identify all the persons involved in the crime.

Previously a jury trial sentenced one of the gang members for attempted murder by hire.
The criminal investigation is ongoing.
