In Sverdlovsk Region, an officer of the Regional Investigative Directorate and an advocate detained

The Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a probe into First Deputy Head of Sverdlovsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Michail Busylko and advocate of the Vladimir Regional Chamber of Advocates. Busylko is charged with committing an offense under Article 290 (bribe-taking), and the second perpetrator - with an offense under Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia (mediation in bribery).

Michail Busylko and the advocate were detained at bribe-taking during operative activities carried out with the Sverdlovsk Regional Directorate of the Federal Security Service. The illegal remuneration was intended for facilitating lifting the order on discontinuance of a probe.

Combating corruption still is one of the major areas of work of the Investigative Committee of Russia and is systematically carried out at all levels of cooperation with operative services of the Federal Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The Investigative Committee is intended to provide a timely and rigid response to every episode of corruption, especially if it is related to its own integrity. Every officer involved in crime, despite ranks and positions, will be punished in accordance with the national law.
