Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia gives instructions concerning accidents in Moscow, Karelia, and Belgorod Region

Today a federal TV channel reported that a worker was dismantling metal supports of a billboard without the help of a hook or other special equipment in Petrozavodsk. As a result, the billboard fell down and almost slammed a passing-by woman. Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin has instructed the Karelia Republican Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia to immediately launch a pre-investigative probe into this matter and make a procedural decision upon its results.

Also, journalists of a federal TV channel reported that a married couple refused to let in representatives of guardianship authorities, who wanted to check on the condition of a newborn child, in Moscow. They managed to open the door in the presence of law enforcement officers. At present, the child and the parents have been referred for an examination. The Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia immediately launched a probe into the newborn family’s living conditions. Investigators will verify all facts reported by the media. Alexander Bastrykin has instructed the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia to supervise the process of the procedural probe.
