In Moscow, person charged with murder committed in 2013 in the Far East detained

The Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia is investigating a case into Alexander Boyarshinov accused of the murder of Andrey Tokarev and Kristina Goloushkina in Zeisky District of Amur Region in 2013. He had committed this offense in association with Vadim Gorbunov.

In 2014, Boyarshinov had fled from the investigation and been declared wanted. The preliminary investigation had been suspended in 2014 and 2017 due to the search activities.

Upon results of the personal reception of the victim’s mother by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, the criminal case was referred to the Main Investigations Directorate for further investigation.

The investigation included a set of investigative actions aimed to further prove Boyarshinov guilty in the murder. Since 2019, the Main Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has been engaged in operative surveillance.

The investigation in cooperation with the Main Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has organized joint investigative actions and operative search activities aimed to locate Boyarshinov.

As a result, on December 16, 2019, Boyarshinov has been detained in Moscow by the investigation and the Main Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. In the near future, the investigation will motion the court to put him into custody.

The criminal case into Vadim Gorbunov had been investigated earlier; he stood trial in 2015.
