Three Rostov Region residents accused of murder committed with use of firearms detained

The Rostov Regional Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation continues the investigation into an offense under Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (murder).

According to the investigation, in the daytime on October 22, 2019, conflict had occurred between several local citizens on a livestock spot at Chernozubov Khutor of Orlovsky District, during which the men had made firearm shots at each other. As a result, five men died of gunshot wounds and two were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.

Following the offense, three citizens of Rostov Region were detained on suspicion of murder. Four more persons involved in the offense were declared wanted internationally. They were charged with committing murder and ruled to be placed in custody in absentia.

On December 16, 2019, officers of the Customs Directorate of the Federal Security Service over Belgorod and Voronezh Regions have detained three accused persons, previously declared wanted, in the Rovenki settlement of Belgorod Region while they were trying to cross the state border between Russia and Ukraine.

At present, they are subject to the required investigative actions. One more accused is being searched for.
