The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has instructed the Central Office to supervise the progress of the procedural probe into a violation of the rights of a female senior citizen being processed by the Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the IC of Russia.

A federal TV channel reported that after the 85-year-old woman had signed a donation of her real estate to her granddaughter, she and her husband were in every way impeding the normal life in the apartment and were mocking the pensioner. In addition, journalists note that no effective measures have been taken in relation to allegations of misconduct against the woman in the law enforcement agencies, and criminal proceedings have been denied.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia has instructed his subordinates to give a legal assessment and promptly established all the circumstances of the incident. The progress and results of the pre-investigative probe will be supervised by the Central Office of the Investigative Committee.
