Today, journalists of one of the programs on a federal TV channel told about a situation when a drunk driver, whom a policeman tried to apprehend, drove over the sidewalk and, having turned around, dragged the traffic policeman along the roadway.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia has instructed the management of the Bashkortostan Republican Investigations Directorate to hold a pre-investigative probe into abusing a public officer by thoroughly examining the data presented by the media. The Central Office of the Investigative Committee is to supervise the progress and results of the probe.
