Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to report on progress of probe into violation of rights of disabled person in Kaliningrad

Today a federal TV channel broadcast a story about a bus driver from Kaliningrad who had expelled from the bus a disabled person who had not had cash on him. According to journalists, the man could not make the cashless payment for the bus fare due to a broken validator in public transport. Due to the illegal actions of the bus driver, the disabled person without a leg had had to walk home at night. The Kaliningrad Regional Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia immediately launched a probe into this matter.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia has instructed the management of the Regional Investigations Directorate to take explicit measures to protect the rights of the disabled man and thoroughly clarify the circumstances of the situation.
