The Arkhangelsk and Nenets Regional Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia has pressed charges against two 17-year-old female Archangelsk citizens for committing an offense under Paragraphs E, G, I of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (murder committed with especial cruelty by a group of persons out of malicious motives).
To remind, on June 30, 2019, passers-by had discovered the body of a 17-year-old girl bearing signs of violent death by railways near Partizanskaya Street of Arkhangelsk.
Due to the joint work, investigators and forensic investigators of the Regional Investigations Directorate and internal affairs officers managed to solve this non-obvious crime.
According to the investigation, in June 2019, the accused girls had agreed to kill a person, had been choosing their victim and discussing the place and means of murder, as well as methods of concealing crime traces during personal meetings, phone conversations, and exchange of messages. They had chosen their 17-year-old acquaintance and one of the accused had invited the latter to a meeting. On June 29, 2019, the accused had taken rubber gloves, a belt, plastic bags, and a detergent and met with the victim. Acting according to the preliminary development plan, one of the accused had hit the victim on her head with a glass bottle in order to kill her, which had made the victim fall on the ground. After that, they had strangled her with the belt, hit her with glass bottles, wounded her with glass shards, and put the plastic bag over her head. Having committed these actions that entailed the death of the underage girl, the accused persons had fled the scene.
Upon an investigative motion, the court has ruled to place the underage suspects in custody.
When being interrogated, they described in detail the circumstances of infliction of bodily injuries, at first explaining their actions by animosity towards the victim.
A required set of investigative actions aimed to collect and prove evidence has been carried out. After the defense studies the case material, the criminal case will be referred for approval of an indictment.
