In Moscow Region, local citizen sentenced to life imprisonment for committing a number of offenses against sexual integrity of children

The evidence gathered by the Moscow Regional Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia has been found by the court to be sufficient to sentence a 45-year-old local citizen. He has been found guilty of committing offenses against the sexual integrity of his stepson (Part 5 of Article 132, Paragraph C of Part 2 of Article 242.2 of the Criminal Code of Russia).

The investigation and the court established that, from November 2013 to August 2014, the man had been committing offenses against the sexual integrity of his stepson born in 2003 and filming it with a tablet camera. The child’s mother found out about it only when her husband was already serving a sentence for committing offenses against two little boys. The woman immediately addressed law enforcement bodies.

The investigation included a wide number of interrogations and examinations including forensic, psychological, psychiatric, sexologist, and cultural ones, the conclusions of which provided grounds for pressing charges.

The court has sentenced the accused accumulatively to life imprisonment in a special regime colony.
