Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin has held a briefing on the development of educational institutions of the Investigative Committee in Saint Petersburg.

The briefing was attended by Head of the Saint Petersburg Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia Sergey Sazin, his First Deputy Roman Ananyev, and Director of the Saint Petersburg Cadet Corps Sergey Buzenkov.

The working meeting covered issues of the development of St. Petersburg educational institutions, including those related to the development of the Cadet Corps and the creation of cadet classes under the patronage of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Kronstadt. In particular, it was noted that the area of the Cadet Corps in St. Petersburg would be expanded.

The system of cadet and higher education in the Investigative Committee of Russia is dynamically developing. In September 2018, the Fedor Slipchenko Cadet Corps of the Investigative Committee of Russia was opened in Volgograd. The Investigative Committee is also planning to open a Cadet Corps in Sevastopol and a girl's boarding school in St. Petersburg.

Cadet education helps to develop good values, moral traits, and patriotism in the students and gives them specialized knowledge that can be further enhanced in the Investigative Committee Academies. The Investigative Committee's educational institutions are designed for high-quality training of future officers able to effectively fulfill their duties straight after employment, without additional training.
