Illegal activities of leaders and participants of M.K.U Internet Community under investigation

The Investigative Committee of Russia is investigating facts of illegal activities of leaders and participants of M.K.U Internet Community. Their activities are recognized as offences under Part 4 of Article 33, Paragraphs A, K of Part 2 of Article 105, Part 1 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 205, Part 1 of Article 30 , Paragraph B of Part 3 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Russia (incitement to murder; preparation for a terrorist act; attempted infliction of severe health damage dangerous for human life, motivated by ideological, national or social enmity, committed through use of items used as weapons, against two or more persons).

According to investigation, Ukrainian citizen Egor Krasnov, being an organizer of the indicated community, through correspondence in social networks seduced Russian citizen Alexey Narzyaev to commit two offences on extremist grounds. Taking into account Narzyaev's mental illness, in January 2021 Moscow Regional Court ruled to subject him to compulsory medical measures.

In December 2020 a minor resident of Tambov Region planning to cause an explosion in a dormitory building of a Tambov educational institution was detained for preparation for a terrorist act. During search at residence of the detained investigators seized parts components for manufacturing of a self-made explosive device. Upon request of the investigation, the court ruled to put the suspect into custody.

Another additional episode of criminal activities involving M.K.U. Internet community is being investigated in Saratov Region.

In terms of these probes the Investigative Committee of Russia continues establishing circumstances of the indicated offenses. The investigation is also checking involvement of Krasnov in other episodes of illegal activities of M.K.U. participants.
