Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia gives a number of instructions to heads of regional investigative departments

Mass and social media widely spread a story of a beaten, half-dressed boy discovered in a hallway of a residential building in Kaliningrad on May 2, 2021. The child was hospitalized with injuries. The Kaliningrad Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia urgently launched a pre-investigative probe.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia ordered to launch a probe into this fact on suspicion of torture of a minor and to carry out a comprehensive investigation in the shortest possible time to establish causes of the incident.

Apart from that, on May 4, 2021 football goals on a playground of  Yantsobino village of the Republic of Tatarstan fell on a 9-year-old girl. As a result, the child received injuries and was hospitalized in a healthcare facility. Into this fact the Tatarstan Republican Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a probe under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia (rendering of services that do not meet safety standards), Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of Russia (neglect of duty).

Alexander Bastrykin ordered the head of the regional investigative department to report about the progress of the investigation and to take comprehensive measures for prompt and full investigation.

Apart from that, a number of mass and social media published complaints of a Kirov citizen about her newborn child receiving a leg injury due to medical staff inappropriately putting in an IV.

The Head of the Committee instructed the head of Kirov Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia to organize a pre-investigative probe into this fact and o establish all circumstances of the incident.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia put the progress and the results of investigation of the probes under supervision.
