The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia gives a number of instructions over information reported by mass media

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin gave a number of instructions over incidents reported by mass media.

Thus, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to carry out pre-investigative probe into a report about a family with a seriously ill child from Tula Region unable to receive housing provided for by law. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requested a timely report on the situation and put the progress of the procedural probe under supervision of the Central Office.

Alexander Bastrykin also instructed his subordinates in Volgograd Region to initiate transfer of probe materials on a road accident involving a truck and 3 cars that entailed injuring of two 9-year-old girls-athletes returning from a competition. Apart from that, the head of the Committee requested a report on investigation of circumstances of death of a 59-year-old man and a 15-year-old teenager from a war-time shell explosion during search activities in Gorodischensky district of the same region.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia also ordered the direction of Rostov Regional Investigative Directorate to report about preliminary investigation of a probe into a 12-year-old boy falling into an open water supply network manhole in Volgodonsk. As a result of the incident the boy was injured. The progress of investigation is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia also ordered to  launch a procedural probe into a situation around 89-year-old actress Lidia Dorotenko in St. Petersburg. Mass media reported about possible adverse actions against the senior woman. Alexander Bastrykin requested to thoroughly examine all circumstances of the incident and to launch a probe if there are grounds for it.

One more incident the Chairman of the Investigative Committee requested a report about is connected with shooting at teenagers in Voronezh. The probe has been retrieved from interior bodies and taken up by Voronezh Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia. Apart from that, a probe under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of Russia (hooliganism) has been also launched against the perpetrator and added to the existing one. Alexander Bastrykin instructed the Central Office to supervise the progress of the investigation.

He also instructed to report about progress of investigation of a probe into negligence of authorities launched after a fire in a settlement in Omsk Region. The fire destroyed 25 buildings including 14 residential. The further investigation will be supervised by the Central Office of the Investigative Committee.

Apart from that, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the specific department of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee to launch a procedural assessment of the information about The Immortal Regiment Online website being attacked by hackers. He underlined the necessity of thorough investigation of all related circumstances and identification of all persons involved in it.

One more incident occurred in Kemerovo Region - the unknown persons partially destroyed a grave of a Great Patriotic War veteran. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to report about progress of pre-investigative probe into this fact, to take comprehensive measures to identify persons that committed the sacrilegious act, to give legal assessment to their actions and launch a probe if there are grounds for it.
