A federal channel reported that houses in a settlement in Voskresensky district of Nizhny Novgorod Region, some of which had been built for orphan children, are not being connected to service lines, the area around them in not being improved and it is impossible to build roads there because it had been a burial place for animals infected with anthrax for over a year, therefore it is not possible to carry out works there without examination of soils. The Nizhny Novgorod Regional Investigative Department organized a pre-investigative probe into this fact.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to carefully examine all fact reported in the story and report about all circumstances to be reported during the probe. The progress and results of the pre-investigative probe will be supervised by the Central Office of the Investigative Committee.
