Alexander Bastrykin requested a report on progress of investigation of a probe into home front worker and Great Patriotic War veteran from Moscow born in 1929, whose daughter thinks that her death was caused by inadequate medical assistance. The Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia is carrying out relevant investigative actions in terms of a probe under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Russia. The progress of investigation is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
Apart from that, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to report about the progress of investigation of a probe into infliction of health injuries to a newborn child in a maternity ward of a hospital in Khakassia Republic (Paragraph B of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia). According to preliminary data, on May 9, 2021 an Altai Territory resident admitted to maternity ward of Sayanogorskaya Interdistrict Hospital of Main Labor Settlement gave birth to a boy. Post-natal care period included procedures for heating newborns, after which doctors found bodily injuries on the baby's right shin, similar to burns. On May 11, 2021 the boy was transferred to another hospital, where he received the required medical assistance. At present he has been discharged from the medical facility and is home, his life and health are out of danger. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia put the progress of investigation under supervision of the Central Office of the Committee.
The Central Office of the Investigative Committee was also instructed to supervise progress of pre-investigative probe in Novosibirsk Region launched upon a media report about an incident on a Novosibirsk street in the beginning of May 2021 when a man spitted in a face of an 11-year-old boy and made him stand on his knees and apologize to a girl. It was reported that the man chose this way to punish his daughter's "abuser". The child was unable to resist the grown-up person, therefore he fulfilled all his requirements. Alexander Bastrykin also requested a report on circumstances of the incident.
