Alexander Bastrykin takes part in a military scientific conference

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin took part in a military scientific conference "Escalation of external and internal challenges to Russia. Necessary measures for their neutralization”, that took place at the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Gora. It was organized by the Club of the military leaders of the Russian Federation. Representatives of a number of public bodies, members of the Club of the military leaders, veterans of Defense Ministry and Internal Ministry of Russia, representatives of educational institutions of higher professional education also took part in the conference.

Noting the relevance of the chosen topic, Alexander Bastrykin in his speech outlined a number of important aspects related to the educational process and upbringing of the younger generation, work with the youth, measures taken in modern Russia to combat crime and relevance of the adopted constitutional amendments.

He separately noted the work carried out by investigators to establish the causes and conditions that contributed to the commission of certain criminal acts. This activity is highly important for the subsequent development of effective measures to prevent illegal phenomena. Concerning the tragedy in the Kazan gymnasium in this relation, he noted the negative situation with improper organization of the security of the educational institution. "The school wasn't guarded, despite a security contract... There was no security", the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia underlined. The head of the Committee also noted that crime is a broad psychological, ideological and social phenomenon that requires timely and relevant preventive measures that correspond with the challenges of the time. And in this work, attention should be paid to educating young people in terms of the educational process, which is important for the prevention of juvenile crime.

The conference participants continued the discussion on the topics of the speech, discussing the most pressing problematic issues raised by the speakers during the event.
