Today, on May 30, 2021 during the evening, in an apartment of a residential building on Borodina street in Yekaterinburg, a 48-year-old local resident started shooting at people in the yard from a hunting carbine. As a result, a 9-year-old girl and a law enforcement officer received gunshot wounds. The Sverdlovsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a probe into this matter under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 105 and Article 317 of the Criminal Code of Russia (attempted murder of a minor, encroachment on a life of law enforcement officer).

The crime scene is being examined by investigators and forensic experts of the Sverdlovsk Regional Investigative Department  of the Investigative Committee. They are carrying out a set of investigative actions aimed to establish all circumstances and causes of the incident. The suspect has already been detained. He will soon be deliver to the Investigative Department for interrogation.
