Alexander Bastrykin puts progress of investigation of a number of probes under supervision

Alexander Bastrykin requested a detailed report on investigation of probe into provision of substandard housing to residents of Podymalovo settlement of Ufimsky District of the Republic of Bashkortostan that was criticized by mass media.

The Bashkortostan Republican Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia has launched a probe into this matter under Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of Russia (negligence). The investigation established that the administration of the Dmitrievsky rural settlement of the Ufimsky municipal district, under social housing contracts, provided living premises with defects that made them unfit for year-round living to citizens resettled from emergency housing and housing subject to demolition. At present investigation of the probe continues, a complex of construction and technical studies has been assigned, witnesses are being questioned, other investigative measures are being taken to establish all the circumstances of the incident.

Also, in connection with the appeal of the residents of the village of Sunflowers of the Republic of Tatarstan on the issue of improper investigation of the criminal case into negligence of officials of the Tukaevsky district of the Republic in organizing transport links with the village in which large families live, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia demanded a report on the investigative actions carried out.

Alexander Bastrykin also requested a report on investigative actions carried out in relation to a probe launched under Paragraph D of Part 2 of Article 127 of the Criminal Code of Russia (illegal deprivation of freedom) into a 27-year-old man from Leningrad Region. According to investigation, on May 30, 2021, the suspect, for the purpose of imprisoning a minor, brought a 10-year-old boy to his apartment, located in the village of Bolshaya Izhora, Lomonosovsky District, Leningrad Region. The man kept the child in the apartment for more than an hour, and also hit him several times with his hands on the head. After the child's father demanded to release the boy, the suspect, having no real opportunity to further detain the minor, released him. As a result of investigative actions and operational-search activities, investigators of the Investigative Committee together with police officers arrested a man born in 1993 on suspicion of committing this crime. He was charged and taken into custody.

The investigation is to be supervised by the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
