Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia gives a number of instructions to regional investigative departments

Alexander Bastrykin instructed to report on progress of investigation of a probe launched upon a mass media report about citizens living in emergency houses in Gagarin city of Smolensk Region. Investigative departments of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched probes into violation of acting legislation committed by administration authorities of Gagarinsky District municipality entailing significant violation of rights and legal interests of the house residents (Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Court of Russia) upon abuse of authority committed by officials of the Main Department of the Gagarinsky District Russian Pension Fund of the Smolensk Region (interdistrict) and Gagarinsky District municipality of the Smolensk Region at addressing the issue of allocation of funds of maternal (family) capital to purchase of living premises in the house No. 2 on Sovetskaya Naberezhnaya street of Gagarin not complying with housing legislation requirements (Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Russia) and into rendering of house management services failing to meet safety requirements to the residents of these houses by a utility company (Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia). The progress of investigation is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Apart from that, the progress of investigation of a probe into rendering unsafe services in a summer health camp in the Leningrad Region (Paragraph A of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia) was put under supervision. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia also requested a report on investigative actions that had been carried out. According to investigative data, the workers of children's health camp Mechta located in Priozersky District of the Leningrad Region improperly organized services for children's health-improvement recreation. The investigators have examined the scene of the incident. Searches are carried out in commercial and state organizations to seize documents of interest for investigation. In terms of preliminary investigation, the legal assessment will be given to actions of supervisory authorities that permitted operation of a children's heath camp rendering unsafe services to minors.

Apart from that, Alexander Bastrykin requested a report on progress of preliminary investigation in relation to published by mass media petitions addressed to the Investigative Committee of Russia about illegal actions of the head of the Bashkortostan Republican Department for Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Enforcement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The progress of the assessment is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Alexander Bastrykin also requested a report on circumstances of incident in Nizhny Novgorod Region, where local citizens discovered a baby left by mother on a public transport station near Gorny Borok village. Mass media reported that passers-by found the baby and told journalists that the 6-month-old boy was forgotten by his drunk mother.
