A probe into encroachment on a life of bailiffs in Krasnodar Territory transferred to the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia was reported about the progress of investigation of a probe launched by the Krasnodar Territorial Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia into encroachment on bailiffs. After studying the presented materials, Alexander Bastrykin decided to transfer the probe to the Central Office of the Investigative Committee for the most comprehensive and objective investigation.
According to investigation, on June 9, 2021 in Adlersky district of Sochi, the accused made at least three shots from a hunting rifle at bailiffs, at a man engaged in demolition and at vehicles where, as he thought, was the driver, during execution of a court ruling about demolition of illegally constructed buildings on Prosveschenia street with use of special equipment, carried out by a bailiff and a bailiff in charge of established procedure for activities of courts. As a result the bailiffs received gunshot wounds they died from at the scene. The third victim was provided with medical treatment, his life is out of danger, the vehicle driver wasn't affected.
The perpetrator was charged with encroachment on lives of enforcement officers (Article 295 of the Criminal Code of Russia) and attempted murder of two or more persons (Paragraph A of Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia). Upon request of the investigation, the court ruled to put the suspect into custody.
Investigators continue carrying out a set of investigative actions in order to establish circumstances of the offense, forensic, ballistic, psychology and psychiatry, genetics examinations are being carried out. Along with that, the investigation is to examine causes and conditions that facilitated committing of the offense.
