The Kostroma Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia is carrying out a probe into this matter, under the framework of which living conditions of the children in the family will be inspected. Performance of prevention authorities that excluded the family from their register is also under assessment.

Apart from that, a federal channel broadcast utility issues of residents of several houses in Kulebaksky District of Nizhny Novgorod Region. It was reported about the misappropriation of funds collected by residents of houses in order to pay for utilities, including current repairs. No repairs have been carried out in the houses so far.
