The grand opening of the Rodina sanatorium of the Investigative Committee of Russia took place in the Republic of Crimea

The grand opening of the Rodina sanatorium of the Investigative Committee of Russia took place on the shores of the Black Sea coast in the village of Gaspra of the Republic of Crimea. The ceremony was attended via video-conference call by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin and the head of the Educational Outreach Department Sergey Petrov. The opening of the sanatorium was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Rosislav Rassokhov, the head of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia over the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol Vladimir Terentyev, officers of the Central Office and the Regional Department of the Committee, representatives of the government of the Republic of Crimea and of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Armed Forces. The ceremony was also attended by vacationers of the health establishment, including employees of the bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia from various regions of the country with members of their families and veterans of the investigation agencies.

It is symbolic that the solemn opening ceremony of the Committee sanatorium took place on the eve of a holiday - the Day of the Medical Worker, despite the fact that the sanatorium has been receiving tourists since May 1. The institution includes four dormitory buildings located in a landscaped park adjacent to the sea coast. The complex is equipped with halls for physical education, rooms for physiotherapy treatment of various types of diseases, a swimming pool that operates all year round. But the most important thing noted by vacationers is the amazing Crimean mountain-sea air and caring staff.

Addressing the audience, Alexander Bastrykin noted that the Committee sanatorium will serve as a significant factor in social support for employees, pensioners of the Investigative Committee, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, investigation and military operations, as well as large families. “Our current employees perform their duties in conditions of difficult, stressful and irregular work, which often affects their psycho-emotional state and health. They, like no one else, need qualified medical treatment and decent wellness rest, as well as their family members. The same applies to both pensioners and veterans, many of whom have undermined their health over the years of work and devoted all their efforts to serving for the benefit of the country", Alexander Bastrykin stressed. Upon decision of the head of the Committee, for certain categories of citizens there are benefits for the sanatorium treatment.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia thanked the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov for supporting the initiative and facilitation of organization of work of the Committee sanatorium.

Warm words sounded from the guests of the solemn event: Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Anna Anyukhina, Head of the Medical Service of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Armed Forces Sergey Melnichenko, who congratulated those present on the significant event, noting the great preparatory work, wished success, further development and prosperity of the Investigative Committee of Russia in this direction.

The acting head of the Rodina sanatorium Vasily Leonov noted that the sanatorium employs highly qualified medical and service personnel, that every day hears words of gratitude from vacationers, and this is the most important reward for the employees of the institution. The vacationers themselves - officers and members of their families, veterans of the investigation bodies, employees of the academies of the Investigative Committee of Russia - spoke about the same in response. They appreciated the Crimean climate, the amazing premises of the sanatorium with its architecture, and the care of the staff.

The event continued with a festive concert of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Red Banner Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. There was also a small tour around the sanatorium for the guests. The director of the sanatorium demonstrated the main infrastructure facilities, spoke about treatment and health recovery programs.
