In Krasnodar Region, investigators started works at civilians burial site

The officers of the Krasnodar Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia with Taman search squad and regional division of the Russian Search Movement public movement took part in search works in Temruksky District at a site of discovery of remains of civilians.

The previously unexamined burial site of 100 civilians killed by fascists during years of occupation of the region were discovered in 2004-2009 during search for unregistered military graves in Temruksky Disctrict. On 16-18 June, 2021 searchers and Committee officers discovered new remains during examination of this area.

In terms of a probe investigated by the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia into genocide of Soviet peoples by German fascist invaders during the Great Patriotic War the officers of the Krasnodar Regional Investigative Department of the Committee organized performance of investigative actions at the grave site in order to recover the human remains for their further identification.

The search works discovered remains of 9 persons, three of which presumably were children. All of them will be subject to medical and genetic forensic examinations in order to define gender, age, presence of injuries, causes and time of death.

The search activities are carried out within the framework of the All-Russian project "Without a statute of limitations", the purpose of which is to preserve the historical memory of the victims among the civilian population and establish their names, to reveal the facts of crimes against the peace and security of mankind committed by the German fascist invaders during the Great Patriotic War.

The Investigative Committee of Russia asks persons possessing information on circumstances of extermination of civilians and war prisoners in the area of Temruksky District to provide details to the Krasnodar Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in person or by means of electronic and phone communication.
