In Saransk, officers of the regional investigative department initiated an assessment after publication of materials about a pensioner who was beaten and deprived from her apartment. According to preliminary data, before moving to a social institution the 73-year-old woman leased her apartment. The pensioner is unable to get back since she had allegedly received money for it.

Also, journalists once again covered the story of a wandering zoo in Chelyabinsk. There, a local resident allegedly invites people passing by in the park to play with animals tied to trees or take pictures with them in exchange for a donation. The regional investigative department had previously carried out an assessment into this matter, however, as noted in the material, the situation with the wandering zoo didn't change.

Alexander Bastrykin instructed the direction of the regional investigative departments to present detailed reports on all the said facts.
