The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requests reports on progress of investigation of a number of offenses against minors

The Transbaikal Territorial Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a probe under Part 4 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code of Russia (violent sexual actions committed against a person under age of 14). According to investigation, in the afternoon of June 21, 2021 an unidentified man committed violent sexual actions against two minor boys in an unfinished building located on Tokmakova street in Chita. At present, investigators of the Investigative Committee are identifying the suspect. Apart from that, in terms of the investigation the investigators will identify the owner of the unfinished building and establish the reason for lack of security at the dangerous object. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin requested a report on investigative actions that have been carried out and put the investigation under supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee.

Apart from that, Alexander Bastrykin instructed to report on the progress of investigation into infliction of severe health damage to a minor in Buryatia Republic (Part 1 of Article 118 of the Criminal Code of Russia). On June 18, 2021 a minor with burns of the mucous membrane of the mouth, neck, shoulder was delivered to a hospital. The investigation is establishing under what circumstances the child received chemical burns. The progress of investigation is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
