Alexander Bastrykin holds a briefing on issues of provision of housing to officers of the Investigative Committee of Russia

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia held a video-conference briefing to discuss issues of provision of housing to officers of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia. It was attended by Deputy Chairmen of the Investigative Committee of Russia Rostislav Rassokhov, Sergey Goryainov, Alexander Fedorov, heads of a number of units of the Central Office, including those responsible for logistics and distribution of finance.

The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia recalled the previously set tasks to provide the needy employees of the Central Office with housing in two years, after which he listened to reports from the employees of the divisions entrusted with the functions of acquiring and distributing office housing. So, in 2020, 144 apartments were purchased for the needs of employees of the Central Office in Moscow. At the same time, 174 apartments were distributed among the employees of various divisions of the Central Office last year (including taking into account the vacated ones), and this year - 106. 123 employees remain on the list of those needing service housing. At the same time, it was noted that in the specialized fund of service housing there are 86 vacant apartments to be distributed.

Alexander Bastrykin summed up that the results of the work carried out made it possible to move towards the achievement of the set goal, however, he pointed out a number of gaps in the organization that did not allow to reduce the problem of lack of housing to a minimum in a short time. Serious delays were identified by subordinates in the development of financial resources allocated for the purchase of service housing.

The Chairman recalled that the effectiveness of the work of investigators, forensic specialists and other employees of the department directly depends on the social conditions they live in. “We need to root for people, for their social conditions,” he added. Attention was drawn to the inadmissibility of delaying decisions related to the acquisition and provision of housing to employees, especially given that all the necessary funds have been allocated for this.

During the briefing Alexander Bastrykin gave a number of instructions aimed at increasing the efficiency of budget funds utilization. He instructed his deputy, Sergei Goryainov, to promptly provide a detailed plan for the distribution of office apartments available to the Committee among the employees, as well as the acquisition of new housing.
