The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requests reports on circumstances of incidents with children in Tatarstan and St. Petersburg

Alexander Bastrykin instructed the heads of the Tatarstan Republican Investigative Department and St. Petersburg Main Investigative Department to report about all circumstances of incidents affecting children.

The Tatarstan Republican Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia is investigating a probe into chlorine poisoning of 6 people, including five children, in a water park under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia. According to the investigation, five people sought medical help, including one teenager who was hospitalized.

The St. Petersburg Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia is carrying out a pre-investigative assessment of a fact of a 17-year-old adolescent receiving burns during a planned surgery. After that he was delivered to burn department and provided with qualified medical aid; at present his life is out of danger.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the Central Office of the Committee to supervise the progress of investigation of the probe in Tatarstan and results of pre-investigative assessment in St. Petersburg.
