The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requests reports on investigation of a number of probes and results of assessments

On July 14 in a settlement in Novosibirsk Region, a man in the yard of one of the houses, in relation to a row between his minor son and other teenager, grabbed the latter and hit him on the head. The Novosibirsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a probe into this matter under Article 116 of the Criminal Code of Russia (beating).

On the same day, on a sidewalk near Vorobyovskoye Highway in Moscow, an electric bicycle ridden by Ivan Pigarev collided with a scooter ridden by a man born in 1983. The both man were delivered to a city medical facility with injuries, where Pigarev died despite the aid provided. The Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched an initial inquiry into this matter.

On July 15, 2021 in Rostov Region, a 51-year-old man in a bus going from Azov to Krugloe used a knife to inflict multiple stab wounds to three passengers and then fled the scene. A 33-year-old woman died at the scene from the wounds received. Two other women aged 61 and 55 were hospitalized to a medical facility. The Rostov Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a probe under Part 1 of Article 105 (murder), Part 3 of Article 30, Paragraph A of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (attempted murder).

Apart from that, a federal channel aired a discussion of damaging of a military grave in Leningrad Region. During investigation of the relative probe by the Leningrad Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia the EVRIKAl director general was charged under Paragraph A of Part 2 of Article 243.4 of the Criminal Code of Russia (destruction or damaging of military graves, as well as monuments, steles, obelisks, other memorial structures or objects commemorating those who died defending the Fatherland or its interests, or dedicated to days of Russian military glory).

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin put all the launched probes and the procedural assessment under supervision of the Central Office of the Committee and instructed the directions of the territorial investigative departments to report on all the above mentioned facts.
