The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requests reports on progress of assessments into violation of rights of children in wellness camps

The Sakha (Yakutia) Republican Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia is carrying out an assessment into two children being infected with coronavirus during the second shift of Usadba Buluus camp in Khangalassky District of the republic.

The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Krasnoyarsk Territory and Republic of Khakassia also organized an initial inquiry into the same infection detected in 18 children vacationing in Sokol summer wellness camp in Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the direction of regional investigative departments to report on the progress of assessments and to establish all circumstances that led to violation of rights of children for rest, including the degree of compliance of the stay of children in the camps with anti-epidemic requirements, as well as to assess the actions (inaction) of officials to ensure sanitary safety rules.

Alexander Bastrykin instructed the Central Office to supervise the results of the inquiries.
