Alexander Bastrykin requests a report on investigation into violation of minor’s rights in Lipetsk Region

The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin instructed his subordinates in Lipetsk Region to report about the progress of investigation of a probe launched by regional investigative authority upon an appeal of a local citizen concerning inadequate provision of medical aid to her disabled child (Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of Russia).

The request for the report on intermediate results was caused by the appeal of the complainant to the Information Centre of the Investigative Committee of Russia. The woman expressed disagreement with a number of questions posed by investigation at appointing expert examination and delays in their performance. Upon processing of the complaint the Lipetsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia organized a personal reception of the citizen to consider all questions she challenged the investigation about.

During investigation of the probe medical documents of the victimized child were examined. Medical records were seized from medical institutions that provided treatment to the minor. A complex commission medical forensic examination will be scheduled. The mother of the girl will be notified about all investigative actions and their results. The progress of the investigation will be supervised by the Central Office of the Committee.
