The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin instructed the head of Samara Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia to report on circumstances of an incident with a disabled child and response measures aimed at protection of rights of the minor.

On August 4, 2021 a disabled child born in 2011 was hospitalized in a medical institution of Samara Region with a right eye penetrating stab wound. According to preliminary information, the wounds were inflicted to the boy by his mother in the yard of their house.

The head of the Committee highlighted the need for careful and comprehensive examination of all circumstances of the incident.
