The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia finished investigative actions for a probe into Ilkin Ismailov, Ruslan Kurbanov and Tural Kurbanov. Depending on the role of each they are accused of committing offenses under Part 1 of Article 318, Article 319 and Part 2 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of Russia (use of violence against a representative of authority, assault of a representative of authority, robbery).

According to the investigation, in May 2021, traffic police officers of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Moshkovsky District of the Novosibirsk Region were chasing a car, the driver of which did not fulfill the requirements to stop. Ruslan Kurbanov and Ilkin Ismailov were in the cabin of the car as passengers. After stopping in the area of the village of Moshkovo, Kurbanov refused to present documents proving his identity, then, expressing insults, he hit the police officers escorting him to the official car. Ismailov also used violence against the police officers, hitting and insulting them several times.

After the video recordings from the place of resistance with the use of violence against police officers was published in the media and the accused was placed into custody, Kurbanov was identified by a victim in another criminal case as one of the persons who attacked him. The probe was transferred to the Investigative Committee of Russia. It was established that in October 2020, in the city of Novosibirsk, Kurbanov negatively perceived the criticism of a passer-by in connection with improper parking of the car, after which he began to beat the victim. Soon his brother Tural Kurbanov joined this. In the process of beating, the accomplices unlawfully demanded money from the victim.

Currently, the accused and their defenders are getting acquainted with the materials of the criminal case, and upon completion of the acquaintance, the criminal case will be sent to resolve the issue of confirming the indictment.
