The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requests reports on circumstances of injuring of children in Perm and Altai Territory

On August 16, 2021 a roof slab collapsed at an industrial base in the town of Kungur in Perm Krai, resulting in injuring of two children born in 2007 and 2008. The Perm Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia is carrying out an assessment of this fact. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin requested a report on the progress of the assessment.

Apart from that, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia requested a report on violation of rights of a disabled child in Biysk, Altai Territory. It was reported that officials of the Social Insurance Fund in the city of Biysk refused to provide a wheelchair to a girl with a disability. According to her mother, the child was forced to ride on a vehicle that was not suitable for her illness, which resulted in her falling and breaking both legs. The Altai Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia is carrying out a procedural probe upon this media report.
