The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin ordered to report on the circumstances of the injury of a little girl as a result of a hit by an electric scooter in the city of Sochi. According to preliminary data, on August 22, 2021 the girl, aged 1 year and 8 months, was walking with her father in the city of Sochi. The man, moving on an electric scooter, ran the child over, after which he continued driving. As a result of the accident the little girl was injured. The injured woman is currently hospitalized. The identity of the scooter driver was established, he was a 44-year-old local resident. According to operational data, the electric scooter was his personal. Investigative authorities of Investigative Committee of Investigative Committee of Russia in Krasnodar region organized an initial inquiry into the case. The progress of the investigation is under supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee.
