Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to examine the declassified materials of the Federal Security Service in the Omsk region about the crimes of Nazi invaders

The media reported that the Omsk department of the Federal Security Service declassified a number of documents about atrocities committed by German soldiers on the territory of the Kiev region (Republic of Ukraine). It was reported that the documents record the facts of crimes against Soviet citizens committed on the territory of Borodyansk district of Kyiv region. 

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Omsk region Vinnikov O.E. to study the declassified documents and submit a report.

To remind, the Investigative Committee of Russia is engaged, among other things, in the investigation of crimes against civilians committed during the Great Patriotic War. Investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia are collecting and analyzing information about the facts of genocide of the Soviet people. According to the Charter of the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg, the killing and extermination of civilians before or during war constitute crimes against humanity, and such crimes have no statute of limitations.
