The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia puts probes into incidents in Nizhny Novgorod Region under supervision

The Chairman of Investigation Committee of Russia instructed A.S. Akhmetshin, Head of Investigative Department of Nizhny Novgorod Regional Directorate, to report on the progress of a probe into the poisoning of school children initiated under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russian Federation.  According to preliminary investigation findings, students in Nizhny Novgorod city school sought medical assistance with signs of poisoning and fever. The progress of investigation of the probe is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

In addition, Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin put the progress of the probe into the abduction of a girl in Nizhny Novgorod under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia. On August 24, 2021, the 23-year-old girl met with a previously unknown man she had acquainted on a dating website and left with him in an unknown direction, then contact with her was lost. Thanks to well-planned investigative actions and measures, the girl was located in the basement of a garage in the Prioksky district of Nizhny Novgorod.   The man was detained, charged with the offence and a preventive measure was chosen for him.
