The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Sakhalin Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Bazarov B.B. to launch a probe upon a media report on desecration of a grave on the Alley of Honorable Burials in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

It was reported that on September 6, unknown persons damaged 24 gravestones in a cemetery in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and scattered wreaths.

The progress of fulfillment of the instruction is under supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
