The Chairman of Investigation Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Investigation Department of Investigation Committee of Russia in Ivanovo region V. Samodaikin to report on the investigation of a probe into a 44-year-old businessman accused of committing offenses under Part 1 of Article 105, Part 3 of Article 30, Paragraph A of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code and the election of a preventive measure against him.

According to the investigation, on the night of 25 to 26 June 2021 a group of young people came to a private house on the street in the town of Kokhma of Ivanovo region to clarify their relations with the resident of the house. During the conflict, the 44-year-old homeowner fired shots into the chest and abdomen of a 30-year-old man who came to the house, which killed him on the spot. A complex psychological and psychiatric examination has been appointed.

The progress of investigation is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
